Common questions

What counts as a station?

One machine running the Ganter Lab runtime (Windows today, macOS on the way). You choose how many licenses (stations) you need at checkout and can adjust the quantity later in the billing portal.

What happens if I stop paying?

Nothing dramatic. The station falls back to free mode: every feature keeps working, but the runtime pauses on a timer (1 hour, or 2 hours signed in) until you restart it manually. A single failed payment never stops a licensed station.

Does a licensed station need to be online?

No. The license is cached on the station and tolerates long offline periods. Plants and labs without internet access keep running.

Which currencies can I pay in?

Checkout runs on Stripe and shows the currency for your region; where a local currency isn't offered, your card issuer converts at its usual rate.

Where do I get invoices and manage billing?

In the self-serve Stripe billing portal: payment methods, license quantity, invoices and cancellation. No support ticket needed.

Do I need a license to try it?

No, and there is no trial to expire either. Free mode is permanent: install it and use everything; for occasional runs it may be all you ever need. Buy a license when a station needs to run without the timer.
