Who it's for

One tool, many kinds of unit

If it has a sensor, a PLC or a protocol, Ganter Lab can read it, chart it and act on it. It was born from supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software, and built for everyone who would rather not wrestle one.

Test & quality labs

Assemble instrument units, run tests against recipes, and keep an audit-ready record of every run. No supervisory programming required.

Product development

Wire a prototype to live charts in minutes and iterate on real measurements instead of guesswork.

Industrial monitoring

Watch machines, lines and utilities on operator-friendly dashboards, with alarms, users and history.

Manufacturing & recipes

Drive repeatable production steps from recipes and keep a per-batch record, report included.

Makers & prototyping

For people who build: bring a bench prototype to life, drive it and watch it with the same tools a plant gets. BACnet, Modbus, LoRaWAN and Matter on one screen.

IT & infrastructure

Server fleets over Redfish, EV chargers over OCPP, plant historians over PI. If it speaks, it fits.

Four areas of the app

Easier to install and run than the rest of the market, with AI help and a more structured workspace.

Users and settings

Create users and roles, set language and theme, sign in and license the station.

Connector

Add a device from the driver catalog and point it at your hardware. Every setting is a form.

Logic and Process

Variables, alarms, dashboards, unit models and recipes. Or let your AI agent help.

Operate

Run, record, alarm and report from the operating screen. Locally, with your permissions.

Your AI agent can help in every one of these areas.

01 · Users & roles

Your team, your rules

Local users and roles decide who operates, who edits and who audits, with every action attributed. No directory server, no internet dependency.

  • Roles & permissionsGate dashboards, editing and whole areas per role, from operator to administrator.
  • Every action attributedRuns and changes record who did them. Accountability is built into the journal.
  • Accounts that live on the stationLocal accounts work with zero connectivity. A lab or plant floor never depends on the cloud to sign in.
02 · Drivers & devices

Native drivers for the hardware you already own

Talking to devices is the whole point, so it's the part we made easiest. Address a tag, scale it, done. No config files, no scripting, no deep protocol lore.

Your station is also a server An embedded OPC UA server publishes your data, so other clients and supervisory systems on the network can consume it.
A typed value pipeline Raw registers become typed engineering values with scaling, units and ranges. Consistent everywhere, live preview included.
03 · Logic & alarms

Automation in a language you already know

Variables, actions and triggers written in plain JavaScript, the language your team already knows. The editor flags mistakes as you type. No proprietary scripting dialect.

  • JavaScript, not vendor scriptMillions know it; your team probably does too. Errors are detected automatically while you edit.
  • Variables, actions & triggersCompute derived values, react to conditions, schedule work. All of it over live device state.
  • Global alarms with a journalConfigurable alarm rules alert operators, and every occurrence is registered for later audit.
  • Deterministic writesEvery write funnels through one logic runtime, in order. Screens and scripts never race each other.
04 · Process & recipes

Units, tests and recipes, with the structure built in

Model a unit once and stamp out ten compatible copies: channels, profiles, recipes and reports all aligned. Run them as pass/fail tests or as production recipes. Testing and manufacturing are both first-class.

  • From model to fleetDefine a unit model; every unit of that model inherits compatible channels, commands and dashboards.
  • Recipes for tests, or productionSetpoints, ramps and criteria run as quality tests with a verdict, or as repeatable manufacturing steps.
  • Occurrences on the recordAnything unexpected during a run is registered with that run. A valid record for audits and batches.
  • Metadata & commentsOperator, sample, lot, free notes. Attached to the run and carried into its report.
  • One operating screen, every unitBuild the screen on the model once: run commands, the piece's data, state and verdict, comments and chart. Every unit opens it with its own values.
  • Production counted as it runsPieces produced, rate per hour, yield, typical time and results per procedure. For today, or for a rolling window you set.
05 · Records & reports

Every run on the record

Each execution records itself: the data, the occurrences, who ran it. Browse it later, export a whole period, or turn any run into a report that carries your company's face.

  • Automatic recordingNo save button to forget: runs persist with their channels, events and context.
  • Browse & compareReopen any run, inspect its charts and follow exactly what happened, when.
  • Period exportsExport whole periods to Excel or CSV: production control, throughput, audit trails.
  • Branded PDF reportsYour logo and layout: charts, criteria, occurrences and comments in a document ready to sign off.
  • Labels and reports on your printerDraw the label once, name the printers on the model, and a run prints its label or its report at the moment of the cycle you chose.
06 · Dashboards

Dashboards your operators will actually enjoy

A drag-and-drop presentation layer over everything below it: live values, charts, symbols, images and controls, in light or dark. Modern, fast and entirely yours.

Assemble, don't program Components bind directly to tags, variables and runs. The presentation stays cleanly separated from the logic.
Symbols, icons & images Purpose-built libraries for operational dashboards, laboratories, connected products, buildings, IT, energy and industrial processes, plus your own images and symbols.
Charts that keep up High-performance trends and gauges tuned for live data.

The features around the features

Multi-user remote access, AI agent access, permissions, diagnostics, backup, security and localization. The everyday details that decide whether a tool is a joy or a fight.

07 · Remote view

Every screen becomes a workstation

Open Ganter Lab from any browser on your network: a tablet on the bench, a panel on the floor, each engineer at their own desk. Everyone gets their own live session, not a mirror of someone else's screen.

  • Independent sessionsEach user navigates and operates on their own, at the same time. Not remote-desktop mirroring where one person drives.
  • Per-user permissionsWho sees which dashboard and who can operate what, enforced on every session.
  • Exposure under your controlOff by default. Enable it for the LAN when you want it, over HTTPS if you choose.
08 · AI agent access

Bring your own AI assistant: it configures and operates with you

Ganter Lab speaks MCP, the open standard for AI agents, so the assistant you already use connects straight to the station. Describe what you need and your agent wires the devices, writes the logic, shapes the units and draws the dashboards. Later, it helps you run them.

  • Builds the applicationConnectors, variables, unit models, dashboards: described in plain words, configured by your agent.
  • Assists in operation"Create this recipe", "analyze this chart". Your agent works alongside you, on your live data.
  • On your termsA master switch plus per-area gates decide what a connected agent may touch, and every agent write is journaled.
  • Local by designThe access point listens on your machine only (127.0.0.1). Nothing is exposed to the network.
09 · Diagnostics & backup

Built to be trusted with your process

A run that stops early is still a valid run. The unglamorous features that save your week.

  • Self-diagnosticsIntegrity verification and health checks point at problems before they bite.
  • Journals & logsAlarms, occurrences, agent actions and system events, recorded and easy to inspect.
  • Configuration backupSnapshot the whole configuration and carry it to a reinstall or a second station.
  • Restore in minutesBring a station back from a backup, or clone it, without redoing the work.
10 · Security

Local first. Private by default.

Your process data never has to leave the machine. Network exposure, agent access and remote view are opt-in switches you control, not defaults you have to undo.

  • Your data stays yoursConfiguration and history live on your station, in files you can see, move and back up.
  • Agent access is gatedThe MCP access point is off until you enable it, area by area, with everything an agent does journaled.
  • Remote view, hardenedDisabled by default. When you expose a view, users, permissions and optional HTTPS stand in front of it.
  • Safe installs & updatesInstalls per-user without administrator rights and keeps itself up to date automatically.
11 · Themes & language

Your language, your formats, your theme

A tool that respects how your plant writes numbers and dates, and looks good doing it. Rare in this category; standard here.

  • Light & dark, reallyBoth themes ship everywhere, dashboards included.
  • Number & date formatsDecimal comma or point, your timestamp format. Set once, applied across charts, tables and exports.

Every feature. Free to use.

Nothing is ever locked: drivers, logic, dashboards, processes and recording are always available, license or not. Without a license the runtime pauses on a timer and you restart it by hand. For short or occasional jobs, that can be all you ever need. One license per station removes the limit for continuous operation. That's the entire model: no tiers, no feature matrix.
