Frame
A titled background frame drawn around a region of the screen, behind the components it groups.
Frame groups a region: a titled backdrop you draw around a set of components — "Furnace 2", "Utilities" — so the screen reads in areas instead of as one field of cards. It is the only Layout component; a new one occupies 6 × 4 cells.
A Frame is an ordinary component on the grid: draw it over the region, then use Send to back (Position and layer) so it sits behind what it groups. Components may overlap freely, and the layer order decides who renders on top. The screen's own outline and title in fullscreen are a different thing — stage chrome, drawn by the stage — so no dashboard needs a grid-wide Frame.

What it draws
The Frame always draws its own hairline border with rounded corners, transparent inside so the grid and the components behind show through. A border title, when one is set, rides at the top of the region with a rule under it, in the quiet secondary ink.
Anything more comes from the shared Appearance section, like every other component: Show background fills the region with the color pair and turns it into a card, and Show frame adds the component's own outline (up to 4 px) on top of the Frame's hairline.
Frame reads no point and commands nothing: it never wears the bad-reading or lock marks. The shared Appearance, Identification, Position and layer and Actions sections are described on the components page.
