Occurrence list

Dashboard component reference for the Occurrence list, the active and recent occurrence episodes of a unit's run.

View as Markdown

The Occurrence list shows the active and recent occurrence episodes of a unit's run (see Process for what an occurrence is). It is a reading, not a command surface — nothing on it writes. It is part of the Process family: it is not offered in the dashboard's Add palette. A unit's screen hosts it, and a model's screen template carries it with the unit resolved when a unit opens the screen.

Properties

Property What it does Values Default
Unit The unit whose active run's episodes this lists. The editor offers every unit of every model as Model · Unit. a unit none (a template carries the unit placeholder)
Episodes at most How many episodes the list draws. Active episodes come first and the most recent follow, so the cap drops the oldest of what is over. 1 to 50 5

A count typed outside the band is taken at the nearest edge and the panel says so; text that is not a number leaves the count in force.

What a row shows

Each episode row carries:

  • the occurrence's name and its status word,
  • the Active clock — how long the condition has been (or was) in force,
  • when the episode ever lost its signal, a separate Signal loss clock (or Signal unavailable while the signal is still gone),
  • the episode's message, when it has one, with the full text in the row's tooltip.

The two clocks are deliberately separate: an unavailable signal never makes an active occurrence look cleared.

States and refresh

The header says what the list is reading: Occurrences · <state> during a run, Occurrences · outside run while the unit is idle, Occurrences (template) while no unit is bound, and Occurrences (unavailable) where the episode reader is not running. The list refreshes about every two seconds. A failed refresh keeps the previous rows and marks the header · stale while the automatic retry is pending, rather than clearing a list the operator may be reading.
