Common questions
What does one license cover?
One computer running Ganter Lab. On that computer the license sets no limit: connect as many devices and tags as the machine and the network can handle, create as many users as you need and build as many screens as you want. Other computers, tablets and phones on the plant network open and operate the screens in a browser, and other systems read the data over OPC UA, with no extra license. A second license is only needed for a second computer that runs Ganter Lab itself.
What happens if I stop paying?
Nothing dramatic. The station falls back to free mode: every feature keeps working, but the runtime pauses on a timer (1 hour, or 2 hours signed in) until you restart it manually. A single failed payment never stops a licensed station.
Does a licensed station need to be online?
No. With a subscription, the station only has to reach our site once every 90 days, and each contact renews its license for the next 90; without that contact, it runs in free mode until the next one. A perpetual license needs the internet once, when the station signs in to activate it, and then works offline for good.
Which currencies can I pay in?
Choose the currency on this page and Stripe charges exactly the amount shown. A card issued in Brazil can only be charged in reais, so pick reais before buying with one. Where your card is in another currency, your bank converts at its usual rate. American Express is not accepted: pay with Visa or Mastercard.
Where do I get invoices and manage billing?
In the self-serve Stripe billing portal: payment methods, license quantity, invoices and cancellation. No support ticket needed.
Do I need a license to try it?
No, and there is no trial to expire either. Free mode is permanent: install it and use everything; for occasional runs it may be all you ever need. Buy a license when a station needs to run without the timer.
